BEHIND THE BRAND

Silver & Fern is a one-woman business run by me, Poppy. I am based in Cumbernauld in Scotland and specialise in handcrafted sterling silver and fine silver jewellery. Silver & Fern came about in July 2021 but was originally under a different business name. I wanted to try my hand at silversmithing after seeing the beautiful work that others create and I just decided to take the plunge.

MY ETHOS

Each piece of jewellery is handmade in my home studio with care and attention. I love what I do and I believe this is reflected in the quality of the jewellery I create. ​ I signed the pledge 'Handmade and Well Paid' so you can be sure I pay myself a living wage and don't overcharge or undercharge.

SUSTAINABILITY

I aim to be as sustainable as possible and I am always striving to improve aspects of the business. I use recycled silver, for all of my sterling and fine silver creations (read more about this in my blog post about sustainability) and I also use reclaimed beads and gemstones for all of my upcycled creations. All of the packaging I use is either reused, recyclable (and recycled!) or biodegradable. I also make a monthly donation to Ecologi to offset my carbon emissions and plant trees. I plant a tree for each order I receive and have recently hit 200 trees planted!
