Gold Sagittarius Astrology Necklace by Yasmin Everley

In the Ancient Greek tale, Cheiron was the wise king of the centaurs and son of Poseidon. He tutored Heracles but was later mistakenly shot with a poisoned arrow by his former pupil during a conflict with a group of drunken centaurs. As Cheiron was semi-divine and could not be killed by the poison he writhed in agony until Zeus took pity on him and placed him in the stars.

From Astrology, the pendant takes the form of a circle, which the Ancient Greeks considered the most geometrically perfect shape. It holds a cluster of the stars, forming a constellation, which is held suspended in space by delicate wire. The side view shows Sagittarius to illustrates the three dimensional nature of the design.

This piece is currently available in solid 9ct yellow gold. It can be made to order in 9ct white and rose gold or in 18ct Fairtrade Gold. It usually takes 4-6 weeks for an item to be made to order, please email me for more information.
