Chunky Hammered Cuff Bracelet

A chunky cuff bangle/bracelet with a sparkly, hammered surface on the outside and high shine finish on the inside. It has a display hallmark on the inside surface that is larger than your average hallmark. 

This cuff is put on by sliding the palm of your hand in the opening and twisting your hand into it. Not to be opened and closed by force (which would be extremely difficult as this is a very sturdy item) as this will weaken the silver over time.

Crafted from 1.2mm sterling silver or 1.5mm fine silver sheet, this cuff is hammered by hand into shape. 

The outside surface is hammered and planished to give a lovely sparkle and the inside surface is finished to a smooth, high shine.

A large, display hallmark is applied to the inside of the cuff. Normally, hallmarks are very small and hard to read but on larger items such as this I think it’s good to highlight and emphasise the hallmark which tells you who made it, what metal and fineness the item is, where it was hallmarked and in what year. 

In the UK, items in precious metals of certain weights have to be hallmarked by an official assay office by law before they can be sold.  If you require a smaller hallmark that is less visible, please message me at time of ordering.

Caring for your jewellery: 

• All jewellery is best stored in individual boxes or soft bags. This prevents scratches and also, in some cases, lessens tarnishing. Silver jewellery will benefit from being kept in a sealed, clear, plastic bag with an anti-tarnish strip enclosed.
• Chlorinated water causes surface damage! It is best to remove all jewellery before using swimming pools, hot tubs, etc.
• Spray hairspray, perfume, etc. before you put on your jewellery as these can also cause damage or, at the very least, leave a residue which will make metals and gemstones appear dull. Your jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off.
• Also avoid contact with domestic cleaning products.
• All silver tarnishes in time despite how it is stored. To clean your jewellery, use a silver polishing cloth. A regular wipe over the silver should keep it looking fab!
