Maggie Read Jewellery

HELLO!

Hello, I’m Maggie and I’ve been creating things for as long as I can remember! I started making jewellery about 8 years ago after taking a beginners course in silversmithing and I was hooked straight away. The beauty with jewellery making is that there are always new techniques to learn and endless possibilities to try. 

I’ve always been fascinated by the organic forms and textures found in the natural world and my jewellery is inspired by the beautiful Scottish Borders countryside and the Northumberland Coastline. I am so fortunate to live in this part of the world! I’ve just had a new studio workshop built in my garden so the commute to work is very easy!
