Loch Sealg Designs
I was born in Lancashire, but when I was about 10 years old my parents decided they wanted to move to somewhere a little different, that place was the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides in Scotland, UK.
I didn't enter the world of jewellery until after I started a family and was seeking a career that would fit around a busy family, but also satisfy my creative mind.
I studied at the UHI Outer Hebrides to a HNC level. I am currently working in 925 recycled silver and with both natural and made man gemstones, but I hope to also work with gold in the near future.
Loch Sealg (Sh-el-ag) is the sea loch in the village of Lemreway, on the Isle of Lewis where my workshop is based. Sealg in Scottish Gaelic means 'hunt' or 'hunting', it's a peaceful and beautiful place to work in all seasons.
